We're in our new flat. Back in Torrance. Because we like Torrance, and it's almost like being in Japan, with our Japan box. We have furniture mostly put together and heaps of boxes sitting in the middle of each room (des tas de boites, en francais). Last night was Ikea, tomorrow night is Linder's Furniture and maybe Cost Plus to get the kick-ass Nakano cabinet as accent piece for our weirdly angled library corner. Kristin, our resident interior designer, will help us pick out a couch and a rug. Or something.
We're also doing the job thing. I started training today for University of Phoenix. Only four weeks of unpaid training left, whoo! Tim's putting together his new desk, and alternately checking to see if anyone's IMing him. Ahh, the life of a corporate wage-slave. But a wage-slave with benefits, which means I can go to the doctor and get my ear-wax cleaned out. Which you all just really needed to know about.
And now, a picture:
The Cloisters in New York City, Best. Museum. EVAR. You know it's impressive if it makes me feel like I'm in a monastery somewhere in France.
