Getting stuff back

The hardest part of moving? Figuring out who you lent what to and where it all is. Has anyone seen my leatherworking tools? Or our good cordless phone? Or that tall lamp that goes in the living room? We thought they were at Nana and Grandpa's. We thought they were at Andrea's. Or Andrea's Mom's. Apparently not. And since our storage space is empty of everything but roach bait (and no longer ours), I just figured I'd ask...

Also, does anyone remember if we had a cast-iron teapot? I seem to remember one, but I can't find it, and Marukai has some really cool ones... Not that Marukai 98 cent is our new favorite store, but since our Japan Box still has not arrived (almost six months and counting!), it's a good enough substitute for all the cool stuff we bought you that is now lost at sea somewhere. Or stuck in customs. Maybe I should have declared the pack of green tea...

Sigh. Slowly but surely, we're unpacking. Kind of.

Here's a quick overview of our 2 bedroom, 1.75 bath flat (with patio!):

Our unnamed plant, a New Zealand flax plant. Someday, when the leaves/fronds are big enough, I will make flax flowers for everyone, Maori style.

Tim, hard at work in our office. Our small patio (see above) opens off the office.

Our Japanese corner, the replacement for the Japan Box that will never arrive

Our living room, complete with sleeper sofa from Ikea.

Our 'library'. And yes, those are all my books. Well, they all belong to me, but they're not all of mine.

Our dining room, complete with scenic window view of the parking lot and our new kitchen bench cart thing.

Kitchen! Smaller than the old one, but complete with cyclopian angles to make even Lovecraft jealous.

Our entry-way, complete with tanuki with lucky balls and our ROUS (Rodent Of Unusual Size--read Princess Bride, dammit!).

And, because I can...

A picture of Miley, who makes the world go 'round.

I don't think I have anything... If I do it would be a book, since Laurent will plaster himself in front of your library whenever we come over.

Nice digs!!
