It's Fall. Fall means things like pumpkin pie. Pumpkin pie is the ultimate indulgence, unless you count cheesecake. So how do you make heaven on earth?
Put pumpkin pie on top of cheesecake.
Only Kings Hawaiian is crazy enough to do this. And it is decadent in ways that words can't describe. Because, much like Uluru is a big fucking red rock, pumpkin pie cheesecake is. Pumpkin. Pie. On. Cheesecake.
The dilemma: should I choose this sinful bliss for my birthday cake on Saturday? What about Jason, who's lactose intolerant? What if people don't like cheesecake, or pumpkin pie? And at this point, do I really care?
Kings Hawaiian has bad-ass cakes. I adore their cakes. They have been our family's birthday cakes for the past six or seven years. I've had no less than two of them since we returned from En Zed. Do I forsake the tradition for a pumpkin pie cheesecake? Will it be too much?
It is, after all, my birthday. I can indulge if I want to.
Oh, the dilemmas...
