Passing news through the Facebook chain

Seriously, Facebook is the best thing to happen when there are things like earthquakes. Within 10 seconds, probably 5 friends in various places across SoCal posted about it, and I'm still getting updates. Kinda cool to know how widespread this was, whose phone is out, who's hearing sirens. So far, no one's lost anything. I think we all just rode out the rolling. But still. There are times when I love Facebook. :)

Yes, we live in California. Yes, we're all used to it. But still, when the ground shakes beneath your feet for what seems like minutes, it's kinda hard to ignore, even if it is just a 'little' one. We're all blase about anything under a 6, but we still get rattled. I think it's a point of pride for us, standing in defiance one more day before the Big One.
